![]() ![]() ![]() If you have not set static IP addresses, and there is no DHCP server (there would not be if you have a direct connection), your QNAP will probably show up with a self assigned IP of 169.254.100.100 and your computer will probably have some IP address. Simply plug your computer directly into the QNAP 10G port, so there is nothing else in between them. I have not tried QTS 4.5.4 with a TS-873. Visually this doesn't affect in any way the settings on web interface when manually assigning IP to eth4 the only operation possible is to ping locally such address, of course once rebooted the setting disappear. in /etc/config/nf the field Interface number is 5, but only interfaces from eth0 to eth3 are listed with parameters, eth4 is "missing" From ioconfig it appear as eth4 without any ip assigned On the interface list it appear, it's possible to assign ip/netmask but it appear disconnected On the Network page in the web interface it physically appear on the NAS drawing, not shown as physical interface ![]() Where with the old fw everything works good, with the new one from the switch management console the Qnap corresponding 10G port appear to be down. On that time I'll try the way you suggested, despite I already expect the outcome. I can't physically access the site until next week. What drives me crazy is that if I revert to fw 4.5.3.xxxx everything works again like nothing happened. Every interface on the Qnap has static IP.
